Natural Regenerative Therapy
Have you seen that throughout the years, your hair has gotten significantly thinner? Maybe you've lost a lot of hair or perhaps you're worried about the general volume, tone, and texture of your skin? If so, you might be a perfect candidate for PRP.
PRP or platelet-rich plasma therapy is a treatment method that is obtained from one's own blood. Plasma is the component of your blood which is mainly composed of water as well as proteins. Platelets are a specific blood cell which assists in blood clots and acts as a healing component. When blood is transferred into a centrifuge, it separates the plasma from the blood cells — resulting in a clear liquid containing platelets used for treatment.
Platelets contain healing properties that act as directions for your tissue to produce and multiply. Various medical fields have advocated for PRP therapy for increased recovery time and the ability to regrow healthier tissue.
PRP uses your own blood's natural healing properties — no synthetic substances, no foreign materials. The platelets direct your tissue to produce and multiply, making PRP one of the most natural and safe regenerative treatments available today.
Step by Step
We will initially determine if PRP therapy is a beneficial method for you. Here's exactly what to expect during your treatment:
A special collection tube is used to draw your blood as a sample — a simple and quick process.
The tube is placed into a centrifuge for 10 minutes, separating the platelets and blood cells from each other.
The platelets are concentrated into a syringe and are ready for injection into the treatment area.
The injection area is cleansed, the platelets are injected into the crucial areas, and the area is thoroughly massaged to ensure even dispersal.
Treatment Schedule & Aftercare
We recommend 3 treatment sessions for the majority of our patients, spaced 1 month apart. Afterward, upkeep sessions every 4–6 months will help maintain your outcome.
Most patients receive 3 initial treatments spaced one month apart for optimal results. Additional sessions may be needed based on your individual response.
After your initial sessions, upkeep appointments every 4–6 months help maintain and preserve your results long-term.
Some bruising and swelling in treated areas is normal and should resolve quickly. Sensitivity is expected in the post-treatment stage.
Take a cool shower the evening of your treatment and apply a cold gel pack as needed. Most patients see results after just two sessions.
PRP treatments can also be combined with additional non-invasive procedures for enhanced results. We serve patients throughout the Chattanooga region with their PRP needs.
